Summer is over and the rain has arrived! Don't be a wimp, with the proper clothing riding 12 months a year is not only possible in Squamish but very rewarding as well. This time of year not only do you have the trails all to yourself, but due to the extra water amazing rivers and waterfalls seem to await you around every corner.
This weeks recommended riding area is the 4 lakes trail system at Alice Lake for the Cross Country riders out there, and the Vallycliffe trails for those of you who enjoy a little more gravity in your diet. Both these areas have a great canopy of trees overhead, as well as drain well in the rain to help minimize impact on the trails.
Keep checking this site to see when the Tantalus Bike Shop weekly winter rides will be starting up!!
In the shop these days' things have leveled off since the summer riding madness. Fall is a great time to bring your bike in for its pre-winter tune. We are usually caught up in service this time of year and can generally have your bike back to you within 24 hours. 2008 Konas have started rolling thru the door, and we expect the 2008 Giants to be close behind. All 2007 bikes in stock are on clear out so come by and check them out!
Al and T-Bred just returned from the Interbike Trade show in Las Vegas and report to keep and eye out for their favorites from the show. From T-Bred it's the Rocky Mountains new all/all mountain bike, the Flatline SS, as well as the Rocky Mountain Elements, the 2007 bike of the year, bigger and better for 2008.
